Glitter Gal – Holiday in Oz collection swatches & review

Glitter Gal’s Holiday in Ozcollection is a new group of polishes offering some great creme/crelly colours for basic polish lovers.

All these swatches are topped with one coat of Glitter Gal Gloss Boss top coat*.

First up is Bluemerang*, a gorgeous baby blue creme. The formula was good but make sure each coat is dry before applying the next coat or balding and cuticle drag could occur. This is 3 coats.

bluemerang

White Pointer* is a basic white creme. It has a great formula and applies very easily however it does still require 3 coats for full opacity. 3 coats is shown.

white pointer

Redback* is a cranberry red cruelly. The formula is on the thin side but not difficult to apply. It does tend to flood the cuticles though but I found it luckily didn’t stain and clean up is simple. This is 2 coats.

redback

Dorothy’s Revenge* contains irregular scattered holo pieces in a orange-red jelly base. The holo pieces remind me of those used in Glitter Gal’s Galaxy Holo top coat except in a coloured base.  It has a good formula but is on the sheer side. Here is 3 coats on it’s own where VNL is still visible, which I didn’t really like.

dorothy's revengeSo I layered one coat over Redback and enjoyed the result a lot better!

True Blue Aussie* is a beautiful rich navy blue crelly. The formula applied excellently, I didn’t even need clean up! Make sure to leave some time between coats to prevent cuticle drag. This is 2 coats.

Big Smoke* is a beautiful dark grey creme I can see myself reaching for often! The formula was fantastic – the best out of this collection. This is 2 perfect coats.

big smokeSerpent Black* is a plain black creme. A very good basic colour that was great in 2 coats.
