Moonstone Nail Polish – Time Child & Jiggery Pokery

I absolutely love all the amazing new Aussie indie brands that have been popping up recently! I may be a little bit biased, but Aussies make some of the best polishes!

Moonstone Nail Polish is a new brand created by Caitlin and based on the Central Coast of NSW. All her polishes are made using high quality suspension base and solvent resistant glitters. Her official Launch collection is available now!

Time Child* is described as a “steely metallic blue with a slight blue/purple colour shift with holographic hex in various sizes”. I found it hard to capture the colour shift on camera but it is quite obvious in person. It was on the sheer side but built up nicely in 2 coats.  The formula was a bit streaky due to the metallic nature of the polish but it evened out well.

I used 2 coats plus top coat.

Jiggery Pokery* is made up of “white stars, mint squares, holo rose hex, light blue diamonds, periwinkle blue hex, and iridescent rainbow hex”. The formula for this was good and had good glitter distribution in one coat. The stars required a bit of fishing but it wasn’t too difficult.

I used 2 coats over Ulta3 Pale Dahlia, plus top coat. I actually really dislike this combo, lol. Definitely reswatching this soon!
